To be released in a 2-CD package and digitally on January 15, 2008, the 39-track set stashes the band’s most smokin’ joints, including singles, album cuts and collaborative tracks from the vaults of Capitol Records and the Kings’ own Suburban Noize Records. In addition to standout hits including "Bump," "Positive Vibes" and "Suburban Life," the collection also exclusively features two previously unreleased tracks and a package essay by the group’s founder and emcee/producer, Brad "Daddy" X.

From their 1998 hit single, "Suburban Life," to cuts from the band’s latest album, Cloud 9, released in August, Greatest Highs spans the Kottonmouth Kings’ career in one sweeping collection. New Collection Features 18 Top Tracks from the Platinum-Selling Group Featuring Ice Cube, WC and Mack 10

Hollywood, California – November 27, 2007 – The gangsta rap super group Westside Connection was formed in 1993 by West Coast rappers Ice Cube, WC and Mack 10. 18 of the platinum-selling group’s best tracks have been collected for the first time for The Best Of Westside Connection: The Gangsta, The Killa And The Dope Dealer, to be released December 4 by Capitol/Priority.

Released in 1996, Westside Connection’s first album, Bow Down, reached #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop chart, fueled by the massive, chart-crossing radio and club success of the album’s title track and its second single, "Gangstas Make The World Go Round."

"Bow Down, the first one, was a record out of necessity," Ice Cube recalled in a 2003 biography. "The industry needed somebody to stick up for the West Coast because we were starting to get disrespected on every level. So, in ’96 we started a movement that swept all across the world, really, with the ‘W,’ the Westside, people finally having something to identify with on the West Coast. Then, people all over the country started to respect the Westside. It’s a beautiful thing. We’ve got Westsiders in Japan, South Africa and they’re pumping it. It was a big deal."

Following a seven-year hiatus, 2003′s gold-certified Terrorist Threats debuted at #16 as the week’s highest new rap entry on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, and also hit #3 on the Rap/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The album’s lead single, "Gangsta Nation" (with Nate Dogg), made the Top 10 on both the Rap and Rhythmic Top 40 charts. "It’s a salute to what I call the ‘Gangsta Nation,’ which is people who like it hard-core who do it in their own way," Ice Cube said of the track. "Everybody knows what gangsta represents out here. It ain’t always a criminal thing. It’s just somebody that won’t conform, somebody that doesn’t want to do it the way the plan is laid out. They want to do it their own way, so we’re saluting them."

The compilation includes four previously out of print tracks, which are exclusively available on this release, and collaborations with his N.W.A co-conspirators Ice Cube, MC Ren and Dr. Dre, as well as with Mack 10, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and others.

Born Eric Wright on September 7, 1964, Eazy-E rocketed Straight Outta Compton to gangsta rap superstardom with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and Yella in N.W.A, as the owner of his own Ruthless Records label and as a solo artist. Between 1987 and 1991, Eazy-E released four albums with N.W.A and one solo full-length album, the double-Platinum Eazy-Duz-It. He became "a bona fide hip-hop icon" (Peter Relic, Rolling Stone Album Guide), and the most hardcore of gangsta rap’s pioneers.

Since 1995, four posthumous releases have been issued, including the album Eazy-E was recording before his death, Str8 off Tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton, Eternal E, The Impact of a Legend and 2005′s commemorative Eternal E: Gangsta Memorial Edition.

More than five million copies of Eazy-E’s albums have been sold in the U.S. alone, and his influence on rap music continues today.

Scion’s National Art Tour – INSTALLATION 4: It’s A Beautiful World – Arrives in Miami during Art Basel

Los Angeles – November 2007 – Scion’s fourth installment of the innovative Scion Installation Art Tour, entitled "It’s A Beautiful World," arrives in Miami for the prestigious Art Basel event on December 7. The opening reception for the public will take place from 7:00 – 10:00 P.M. at The Raleigh Hotel Penthouse on South Beach, preceded by a private press reception, 5:00 -7:00 P.M. All "Beautiful World" artists will attend both of these events. Six of this year’s artists designed custom balloons, each eight-feet in diameter, which will fly over the grounds of the Raleigh Hotel. Also on display will be the custom designed Scion art cars from Dalek, Sage Vaughn, and Ron English.

Art Basel is the largest art event in North America – each year Miami plays host to galleries, art collectors, artists, dealers, curators, critics and art enthusiasts from around the world. All of the Installation artists will have the opportunity to attend and take advantage of all the opportunities that Art Basel offers.

The theme "It’s a Beautiful World" was interpreted by each artist, in one of four mediums- painting, photography, sculpture, and collage.

This year’s artists include: Andrew Pommier, Andy Mueller, Angela Boatwright, Blaine Fontana, Blek LeRat, Books llll, Caia Koopman, Chris Yormick, Cody Hudson, Dalek, David Choe, David Ellis, Eye One, Francesco LoCastro, Freddi C, J. Shea, James Jean, Jeff Soto, Joshua Krause, Kelsey Brookes, Kenton Parker, Kofie, Mel Kadel, Michael Sieben, Mike Giant, Rammellzee, RETNA, R. Grimes, Ron English, Sam Flores, Sage Vaughn, The London Police, Tim McCormick, Travis Millard, Yoskay Yamamoto and more.

Scion Installation 4 will visit the following cities around the country: Austin, Texas; Chicago; Minneapolis; Los Angeles; Miami; New York; Philadelphia; Seattle; and Boston. Each tour stop will kick off with an opening event for local art aficionados, press, and other urban tastemakers.

The final tour stop and auction will be in Los Angeles, at the new Scion Installation L.A. space in the Culver City Arts District. All of the artwork will be auctioned off to the public, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go toward art related charities. In previous years, the auctions have raised more than $110,000 for charity.

Launched in 2003, Scion Installation is a revolutionary art tour affirming Scion’s ongoing commitment to supporting independent artistic expression and featuring work from an unprecedented collective of contemporary artists. Previous participants have included: Andre from Paris, Gary Baseman, Mr Cartoon, Crash, Daim, Daze, Blaine Fontana, Sam Flores, Friendswithyou, Futura, Mike Giant, Justin Hampton, Krush, Mear One, Ricky Powell, Persue, Revok, Retna, Rostarr, Saber, Kenny Scharf, Seak, StayHigh 149, Wearesupervision, and more. The program is designed to give exposure to both established and emerging artists.

For four years the tour has evolved, and each year the medium with which the artists showcase their work changes. The first year featured Scion xB panels and xA sculptures, while the second year presented art on three foot by eight foot wood panels. Each artist’s unique style was introduced on three-foot long polyurethane Scion tC sculptures for the third tour.
