New York NY November 19th 2007

Providence rapper Jon Hope will be leading the Providence College Friars basketball team out onto the court at the recently renovated Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence this weekend in their opening game against  the Harvard Crimson.

The venue which will play host to over 12,000 college ball fans this weekend has just recently reopened after a six month break allowing extensive renovations to take place.

Jon Hope who has partnered with the Providence College Friars had this to say about such a prestigious invitation; " I am extremely excited and honored to be a part of the unveiling of the Dunkin Donuts Center in the city of Providence. This is a great opportunity for not only myself but it shows the endless possibilities for Hip-Hop."

Jon Hope who has just acquired a clothing deal with Hoodman Clothing is also featured on the new highly acclaimed Statik Selektah album Spell My Name Right. The Providence MC is also performing this evening at the XXODUS Cafe in Providence. See below for details on both shows.

About Hoodman Clothing
Simply put, our mission is to bridge the chasm between a Hot 16 and the Sunday Op-Ed.  By placing seemingly ivory tower subject matter into humorous and familiar settings, we hope to encourage wider audiences to engage these issues.
Hoodman is here to challenge customers aesthetically and intellectually. Our clothing provides a canvas for cultural and socio-political commentary.  While we address a wide variety of issues, topics frequently concern the triangular relationship between dominant culture, the media and individual identity.  Unlike other conscious brands, Hoodman is aware that a balance needs to be struck between educating and entertaining. We combine a high quality product with idiosyncratic statements and progressive design.
Currently, Hoodman products are available at Union (NYC), Union (LA), Digital Gravel, Elite Board Shop (DC/VA), Palace 5ive, Rival (Tribeca), Exclusive Clothes (South Carolina), Four Square (Stockton), Sole Classics (Ohio), Rumorz (Calgary), and Sneaker Rehab (NJ).
