Rhettmatic, DJ Babu, DJ Raphiki & DJ Warrior Confirmed for Remix Hotel Los Angeles

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Penton Media’s Remix Hotel™ Los Angeles, presented by Beatport with Premier Technology Partner Apple, will return to Los Angeles November 8–10 for three days of music-technology product demos, industry panels, workshops and special guest appearances at the SAE Institute of Technology on Sunset Boulevard. The event will feature Hank Shocklee’s panels, with headliners Rhettmatic, DJ Babu, DJ Raphiki and DJ Warrior. The Shocklee Innertainment panel program will include:

    * Mixtape vs. Radio DJs (Thursday, Nov. 8), featuring DJ Raphiki (Power 106) and DJ Warrior (Sirius Radio, Justo’s Mixtape Award Winner). The panel will discuss and debate the different qualities that DJs bring to the table.
    * Breakbeat Science: Producers, Bring Your Beats! (Friday, Nov. 9), featuring Rhettmatic & Babu of the Beat Junkies. Producers and beatmakers can register to get their tunes played and then get professional feedback from a panel of producers.
    * I’m Not a Beatmaker…I’m a Producer (Saturday, Nov. 10), featuring FreQ Nasty & Sebastian Arocha Morton, aka ROCAsound. An elite panel of top producers will discuss what the art of production is really about.

The iStandard Producer Showcase, connecting label A&Rs, platinum producers, managers, artists, and attorneys with up-and-coming hip-hop/R&B producers, will feature judges Zack Katz (JR Rotem, Sean Kingston), Aaron Bay (A&R Atlantic Records), Dow Jones (50 Cent, Ras Kass, Mistah F.A.B.) and Kylee Swenson (editor, Remix magazine).
