Mos Def and other Artists, Students and Activists Call for a Student Walk out on Monday October 1st To Support the Jena 6

Artist/Activist Mos Def, Idris Elba, Common, M1, Talib Kweli, MC Lyte, Pharoahe Monch, the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, Sankofa Community Empowerment, Change the Game, the National Hip Hop Political Convention, The Hip-Hop Association, Color of Change and student leaders from over 100 campuses call for a National Student Walk-Out on Monday October 1 at 12 noon central time to support the Jena 6, who are being denied their human rights by the Louisiana criminal justice system.

September 26, 2007 New York - Black and Latino/a artists, activists and students across the country are organizing a national day of support for six Black high school students known as the "Jena 6." Over 100 schools have joined in the call to walk out of classrooms at 12 noon, Central Standard Time on Monday October 1 and rally either on campus or at other designated areas to demand the immediate release of Mychal Bell from jail.

Mos Def, who spearheaded the campaign, said "This is the time for Black people to support the Jena 6, and call attention to the unequal treatment the criminal Justice system is dishing out not only in Jena Louisiana but across this nation"we all live in Jena."

The Jena case began last fall, when two Black high school students sat under the "white" tree on their campus.  White students responded by hanging nooses from the tree, conjuring up images of lynching and racial terrorism endured by Black people across the country. When Black students protested the light punishment for the students who hung the nooses, District Attorney Reed Walters came to the school and told the students he could "take [their] lives away with a stroke of [his] pen."

Racial tension continued to mount in Jena, and the District Attorney did nothing in response to several egregious cases of violence and threats against black students. But when a white student--who had been a vocal supporter of the student's who hung the nooses, taunted a black student and called several black students "nigger"--sustained minor injuries from a school fight, six black students were charged with second-degree attempted murder. Last month, the first young man to be tried, Mychal Bell, was convicted. He faced up to 22 years in prison for a school fight until Black people began to organize and his conviction was thrown out by a court that rules he should not have been tried as an adult.  However, the DA and the judge still refuse to drop the charges in this case and Bell, though released on $45,000 bail, is still subject to trial.

This case has become a symbol for the Black community of the disproportionate arrest and incarceration rate of Black people and the excessive punishment of Black students in schools across the country. Many local organizers say what is happening to the Jena 6 youth is similar to what happens in their cities.

Mos Def added, "Jena Louisiana is the same as "Jena" New York. From Mychal Bell to Sean Bell our communities continue to be targeted."

The group has created a list of demands that will be read at noon during rallies around the country.

Demands
Judge J.P. Mauffray and District Attorney Reed Walters have engaged in a string of egregious actions. We call for:

1.  All charges against the Jena 6 be dropped;

2.  The United States Department of Justice to convene an immediate inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the arrests and prosecutions of the Jena 6;

3.  Judge Mauffray to be recused from presiding over Bell's juvenile court hearings or other proceedings;

4.  The Louisiana Office of Disciplinary Counsel to investigate Reed Walters for unethical and possibly illegal conduct;

5.  The Louisiana Judiciary Commission investigate Judge Mauffray for unethical conduct;

6. The Jena School District superintendent to be removed from office; and

7. That each local, state and federal criminal justice apparatus stop profiling the black community in general and specifically black youth for imprisonment and free labor.

ABOUT THE BOW WOW / OMARION COLLABORATIVE ALBUM

The Top Secret Bow Wow - Omarion Project
Slated To Drop This Fall

The chart-topping multi-platinum hip-hop dynamos Bow Wow and Omarion have joined forces to create a new collaborative collection that promises to become one of the major musical events of 2007. The top secret Bow Wow-Omarion project will be released this fall.

While details of the Bow Wow-Omarion project remain under wraps, the new album marks the culmination of a joint collaborative process dating back to 2005, when Omarion's vocal contributions to "Let Me Hold You," the first single from Bow Wow's fourth album, Wanted, peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Bow Wow his first-ever Top 10 single and Omarion his first Top 10 as a solo artist.

That same year, Bow Wow and Omarion hit the road as co-headliners on the SRO "Scream Tour IV Presents: The Heart Throb Tour."

"Me and O have been trying to put this together for so many years, and now we've got the opportunity to do it," Bow Wow told Billboard.com earlier this month. "We're in the creative process right now, coming up with ideas daily, so the process is real smooth. We're anxious to make this whole thing happen. It's gonna be a special event. It's gonna be crazy, something the people have been waiting on -- the girls have been waiting on -- for years. O's one of my best friends. Anytime you get a chance to work with somebody you're best friends with, it's not even work, it's like working with family."

Omarion shares his best friend's enthusiasm for the as-yet-unnamed project. "This isn't about money, this is about music," says Omarion. "We both started young and have grown up together, working on the same tours, and have developed our identity in the music world. Jay-Z and R Kelly were the first big R&B/Rap combo, and we have great respect for them and have been inspired by them, but we still want to create something we can call our own. We just want to do our own thing. We want to have a great time and make good music for our fans. This is gonna be fun, so 'World, Watch out! We're coming!'"

ABOUT BOW WOW

Currently on the road with his "Price Of Fame Tour," Bow Wow is riding the success of his latest Top 10 album, The Price Of Fame, which reached #6 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The Price Of Fame kicked out a string of hit singles including the #1 Hot Rap Tracks chartbuster "Shortie Like Mine" as well as "I'm A Flirt" and "Outta My System."

Released in December 2006, The Price of Fame is the first new studio album from Bow Wow since July 2005 when his RIAA platinum-certified Wanted debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 and generated the smash singles "Let Me Hold You" (featuring Omarion) (#1 Rap, #2 R&B/Hip-Hop, #4 Hot 100) and "Like You" (featuring Ciara) (#1 Rap, #1 R&B Hip-Hop, #3 Hot 100).

Bow Wow--whose film credits include "Like Mike" (one of the 50 Top Grossing films of 2002), "All About The Benjamins" (2003), "Johnson Family Vacation" (2004), "Roll Bounce" and "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" (2006). This past year, he also starred in the CW hit television series, "Smallville."

Bow Wow first burst on the scene back in 2000--under the wing of super producer Jermaine Dupri--with his debut album, Beware of Dog, which went on to sell more than three million copies while solidifying his status as an authentic hip-hop heartthrob.

Bow Wow took his brand of rap to the next level with 2001's Doggy Bag, hitting the road in support of his multi-platinum sophomore CD with the sold-out "SCREAM Tour II," wowing fans all over the country with hits like "Take Ya Home" and "Thank You."

With his third album, 2003's Unleashed, Bow Wow became more directly involved with writing and producing his music, creating a collection directly from the heart, conveying a more personal overview of life from Bow Wow's perspective.

He is the youngest musician to open the Grammy Awards, is the first "kid" to be included in Vanity Fair's prestigious annual music issue (October 2001), and entered "The Guinness Book of World Records" as the youngest solo rapper to hit #1 on the U.S. charts.

Bow Wow is launching his own media company, LBW Entertainment, which handles emerging artists including Young Jinsu and Clee-O.

With numerous hit singles, platinum-plus albums, sold-out tours, starring roles in hit films, and a place in "The Guinness Book of World Records" already on his resume, Bow Wow continues to prove that he's the 100% real deal with the indisputable goods: a bona fide superstar blessed with talent, tenacity, and a deep connection to his audience.

ABOUT OMARION

R&B superstar Omarion rang in 2007 with 21, the year's first #1 album. The performer's second solo album (and first on Columbia Records) entered the Billboard Top 200 best-selling albums and the R&B sales charts at #1, mirroring the achievement of his debut solo album, O, which entered both those charts at #1 in February 2005. An important new voice in contemporary R&B and hip-hop, Omarion is one of a select group of artists to have achieved back-to-back #1 debuts on both the Hot 100 and the R&B charts with two consecutive albums.

Born and raised in Inglewood, California, Omarion rose to fame while still a teen as a member of the groundbreaking urban "boy band" B2K. His soulful vocals, riveting stage presence, and undeniable charisma helped B2K score a hit with the group's very first single, "Uh Huh," in 2001; achieve gold status with the group's self-titled debut album in 2002; and go RIAA platinum with the group's best-selling sophomore outing, Pandemonium! in 2003.

Omarion's undeniable media-geniality has led to numerous television guest appearances including "Punk'd," "The Sharon Osbourne Show," "Regis & Kelly" and "Soul Train." In addition to his musical performances, Omarion has acted on the big screen with key roles in "You Got Served" and "Fat Albert." Omarion stars in "Somebody Help Me," an innovative horror film directed by Chris Stokes and may be seen in the upcoming films "Reggaeton" and Tyger ("Menace II Society") Williams' "Street Soldier."

We Luv Black Women; Hip Hop Artist Pioneers New Campaign for Black Women

(Washington, DC: September 26, 2007) With rap music being at the center of discussions about misogyny and male attitudes toward women, a Hip-Hop song entitled We Luv Black Women will be released on October 2nd, to promote the opposite message.

Hip-Hop artist, activist and author, Tehuti, has decided to launch a campaign, countering the negative stereotypes and imagery oftentimes perpetuated in the media and in Hip Hop about Black women. The result is an ear-catching song entitled, We Luv Black Women, a website (weluvblackwomen.com) and two children's books, all to be released on October 2nd. Tehuti has a Masters in Human Services and his thesis centered around Hip Hop Culture as a teaching tool and intervention strategy, so he felt compelled to take action.

"During the Don Imus situation, Black men should have stepped up to support our women versus so many leaders just stepping on their own children by once again blaming Hip Hop. At the same time, in the culture of Hip Hop, we should have responded with songs that show more than the stereotypical portrayals of Black women that we are constantly inundated with daily. I couldn't just stand by and do nothing. I had to act," says Tehuti.

And, taking action is something that Tehuti does very well. During the 1990's, Tehuti conducted Hip Hop Culture workshops at D.C. Public Schools and has also worked with youth in Child & Family Services and Juvenile Justice systems. "I once worked at a school that did not have a library, so I pulled together a bunch of my own books and started a makeshift school library." Tehuti is also no stranger to the music industry, handling the management, bookings, and promotions for established artists.

On October 2, Tehuti will also release the weluvblackwomen.com website and two of his children's books. The website includes historic facts about the great accomplishments of women of African descent worldwide. The children's books are entitled Pretty Little Girl and Black People Read Well. Pretty Little Girl was written to encourage young Black girls to believe that they are beautiful. Black People Read Well was written to promote reading and writing to elementary school children, and to also help parents instill reading and writing skills in their children.

Tehuti will be one of the featured authors at the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment (NABFEME) Literary Lounge in Charlotte, North Carolina October 3-7. "Those who protest Hip Hop as a culture and rap music as an influence on multi-media outlets should equally be the loudest supporters of what I am doing." Tehuti asserts, "beyond criticizing lyrics, consumers need to support positive messages and artists must not be afraid to step up to the plate and be innovative. And, to quote the words of the song, So if you got a lady or momma or sister or daughter, I know you love that. We Luv Black Women!"

For more information on We Luv Black Women, Pretty Little Girl, and Black People Read Well or to arrange an interview with Tehuti, please contact Aaliyah Rashad at 909-350-9500 or email arashad@soulsticemarketing.com.

Hip Hop Poet Bomani Armah Releases 'Jena 6' Song To Continue Movement

Bomani Armah, the hip hop artist/poet responsible for the cultural phenomenon 'Read A Book,' has released "Jena 6," a song dedicated to furthering the Movement supporting six young Black men, their families, and community, suffering from injustice and the abuse of power in the state of Louisiana. This unique hip hop artist, Bomani Armah says "I'm not a rapper, I'm a poet with a hip hop style"

When asked about why he made this track, hip hop artist Bomani Armah says "I made this song, not to highlight the problem. That has already been done by activists, organizations and leaders like Color Of Change (colorofchange.org), Rev. Al Sharpton, Michael Baisden, and countless grassroots activists that aren't getting credit today for the work they put in months ago. I made this song, and released it after the recent March, out of concern that this Movement will die and lack the follow-through and unity we need to make any change in Jena , permanent. My job, and that of every one who listens to this song who has a sense of justice and concern for Black people, is to make sure that we do what is necessary economically, politically and culturally to support the Jena 6, and all those who were left behind when the March ended and the media and thousands left town. The hard work still remains to be done, in Jena , and throughout America , and I'm taking a stand, as an artist, father, husband, son, and brother."

Jena 6 is available at both Notarapper.com: http://notarapper.com and Bomani Armah's MySpace page: http://myspace.com/knotarapper

Remo Da Rapstar Releases his Sophomore Project 'One Hit Away' CD/DVD

2006 Justo Award Winning artist Remo Da Rapstar returns with his latest effort " One Hit Away" packed with 24 brand new records and 12 exclusive videos. One Hit Away is availble in retail stores and digital retail ( remodarapstar.com and itunes.com)

New York City (PRWEB) September 30, 2007 -- Remo da Rapstar is set to release his latest album "One Hit Away," due in stores September 30th, 2007. With his first effort, "Rapstar Phenomenon," Remo experienced tremendous success. The album was hosted by four of the most influential DJ's in the game: DJ Vlad the Butcher, DJ Green Lantern, Dirty Harry and Clinton Sparks. On his latest work, Remo has Big Mike as his primary DJ. However, along with the album Remo is also providing ringtones, wallpapers and digital downloads available for his fans directly from his website www.remodarapstar.com.

This past year has been a stellar one for Remo as his list of accolades keeps growing rapidly. In 2006 he took the title of Justo Award Winner for "Best Underground Artist," and joined the ranks of legendary MCs such as The Notorious B.I.G., Common and DMX by being featured in The Source Magazine. Remo also received a 4.5X review in LOUD, Dubai's world famous music magazine, and appeared on MTV's Sucker Free show "Straight from the Streets." Remo has also received rave reviews from publications around the world and is the face of the nationwide advertising campaign for New Era Caps.

Working on the album for the last year, Remo believes he's at a point in his career where he can make the transition from the streets to the fame. "One Hit Away" is a street album with a combination of freestyles, videos and street singles. The album boasts features from a variety of artists including the late Stack Bundles (R.I.P.), Ransom, S.A.S., Richie Sosa and Nina B among many others. The first single off the album is "I Bang" introducing Richie Sosa holding down Toronto, Canada.

"I bang" is a record that touches on the hate that rises as an individual strives to make it to the top and is successful in accomplishing their goals. Once you get to a certain level, people will want to know you down, and you have to be aware of that in order to protect your interest by any means necessary. The video was shot in the Megacity, Toronto and it serves as an introduction for Canadian artist extraordinaire Richie Sosa.

"Keep it Movin" is track 14 on the CD. The track speaks on the importance that hard work and constant grind have toward achieving success. Most people want to get rich at a certain level, but are not willing to go that extra mile or be "go getters" to get there. As Remo's single advertises...You have to keep it moving.

"One Hit away" is a revolutionary street album that symbolizes the rise of an underdog. It brings the fun back to hip-hop, with a high level of diversity in concepts and delivery. All the songs will be available in stores and online with free downloads of music, ringtones and wallpapers. Remo da Rapstar and All City Distribution market, distribute, promote and create the product for the people in the most innovative and ground-breaking ways and this will be the first street album that has corresponding and interactive online downloads for the fans.

On September 30th, along with the album, Remo will also be releasing his two first videos off "One Hit Away" for his two first singles "I bang" and "Keep it movin."

Anime Returns The Voice of Hip-Hop Back To The People With The Release of "Tell Myself I'm Happy"

In an age of orange alerts, crumbling economic systems, and marshal law under the guise of homeland security the people are spoon fed entertainment deemed "safe" by major corporations and the government. Citizens are bombarded with biased media coverage of an unpopular war by big business news stations posing as fair and balanced, as well as mindless "reality" television which is far more scripted than the prime-time dramas they have replaced. Indeed, we the people have become conditioned to accept what is given to us. Everyone seems to be aware of this, except the public.

Nowhere has this policy of "eat it until you like it" become more evident than in today's music. What was once the lone voice of the people has become nothing more than hollow images of commercialism and violence. It is now designed to take the people's minds off of what is really going on, and desensitize them to the real life violence taking place all over the world everyday. What was once our parent's spirit of revolution has become a symbol of exactly how corrupted and apathetic our generation has become.

All is not lost however. Since the late 1990's a movement has been brewing. In basements and on street corners the essence of freedom remains strong, ready to bubble to the surface and give the people their voice back. Among this guerrilla movement stands Anime. An emcee as unpredictable and gritty as the animated films that he draws his name from and inspired by the pioneers of the hip-hop culture as well as revolutionary artists from all genres. He has spent over 10 years in the underground perfecting his craft. This time spent paying dues allowed Anime to develop a well balanced style that is as full of classic hip-hop braggadocio as it is full of story telling and social commentary.

Possessing the swagger of an east coast b-boy; combined with an aggressive delivery, and superior wordplay - Anime stands out from the pack. Always pushing the limits of what he is capable of as an emcee, and what hip-hop music is capable of being; Anime is set to strike the industry with a laser guided dose of reality. All in an effort to give a voice back to the people.

Anime's first single, "Tell Myself I'm Happy" is everything that a hip-hop single should be. The feel good (yet thought provoking) beat is provided by German super-producer Shuko.  Anime paints a picture with his lyrical imagery taking us through "just one of those days". The track is anchored by a contagious chorus sung by rock singer Mike Maven.  The light hearted vibe of the main single is balanced by the sinister B-side "The Day After".  For this track, Anime is joined by crewmates Animal Cracka and A.D. "The Day After" sets the scene of what life would be like the day after a presidential assassination.

The Buzz On Anime

"Solid material no doubt.  Crazy production on both joints, Anime attacks the mic with mad charisma...definitely feels like circa '95...hot ish!"
- Shareef Hakim, WRFL/88.1 fm

"Dope man, i dig both sides...particularly the A-side, "Tell Myself I'm Happy"."
- DJ Hyphen, KUBE 93.3 FM Seattle

"Great track, well produced...  Great lyrics too!"
-Laurie Gail, Promo Only MPE

"Tell Myself I'm Happy" breathes life in an oversaturated industry full of line dance crunk and fluff.  This track speaks to me, as well as gives me and my audience something to relate to.
-DJ PrizMatiK, Focuson The DJ (Sprint Mobile / US Cellular)

"For a guy spitting righteous vitriol at The Man, Anime sure has a fun time with it. Boppy, jazz-inflected beatscapes set up flows that are darkly resigned without ever being bitter. That's an essential balance for this (and any) conscious rhymer: getting serious without losing a sense of humor."
- Editor Review from Download.com

"The Anime joint Shuko did is absolutely banging!"
-Eric Jordan, WWVU, Morgantown, WV (University of West Virginia)

"This is Hotness!"
-Mr. Groove, KGNU Boulder / Denver, CO

"Yeah I'm digging this track.  I'm feeling the beat, and feeling the rhymes.  This is one of those feel good tracks with the vibe, and I'm digging homies flow.  I even like the hook."
-Nesto, WODU , Norfolk, VA (Old Dominion University)

CODEBLACK ENTERTAINMENT RELEASES "I TRIED"

STIRRING, ACTION-PACKED THRILLER HITS SHELVES SEPTEMBER 25TH

FIRST BLACK OWNED FILM STUDIO PRESENTS THE FEATURE FILM DEBUT OF GRAMMY AWARD WINNING HIP HOP TRIO BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY

Los Angeles – (September 17, 2007) – CodeBlack Entertainment, America's premiere source for urban entertainment, will release the highly anticipated motion picture "I Tried" on DVD September 25th, 2007.

Starring Krazie Bone, Layzie Bone and Wish Bone as themselves, the three remaining members of the legendary, multi-platinum selling, Grammy Award winning rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, as well as a cameo from platinum selling super producer Swizz Beats, "I Tried" is the electrifying tale of what could have been; a twisted, eye-opening anecdote of chance, fate and fortune, and the harsh reality that lies beneath it all.

In 1993, before Hip Hop communities here and abound had been exposed to the unique, rousing sound that is Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Krazie, Layzie and Wish were three visionaries trying to fulfill their lifelong dream to deliver that sound to the masses. With a bus ticket and that dream, the group boarded a Greyhound to Los Angeles, in hopes of securing a record deal on now deceased rap legend Easy E's Ruthless Records. Focused intently on attaining the future they knew they deserved, they scoured the city in search of the one man with the power to turn their dream into a reality. Although they experienced some devastating obstacles along the way, the day finally came when they made the seemingly impossible possible, eventually achieving monumental success; winning Grammys, American Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards and selling 35 million albums worldwide, and haven't turned back since.

"I Tried" is a chilling tale of "what if" - the harrowing chain of events that could have possibly happened to the group had they simply never boarded that bus; the hardships they would have continued to encounter and the fame they would have never achieved. Their story's been told, but "I Tried" exposes the part that even the most devoted Bone Thugs fan has yet to discover, until now.

Additionally, the film will be the launch of CodeBlack's new music model. The film comes off the heels of CodeBlack's announcement that they've created a new way for record companies and their artists to leverage promotional budgets to create an opportunity to recover marketing dollars that they would have normally never seen a return on. As opposed to record labels simply spending their promotional budget on the production of a music video, they've begun to instead invest that money into CodeBlack, which, for the same cost of the music video, can deliver both the video itself and an entire full-length narrative movie starring the artists. Codeblack and its label partner then release the movie on DVD, creating an additional revenue stream for the record company and the artists themselves.

"Through this innovative partnership with Codeblack Entertainment, we are granting our artists the opportunity to cross over to a new medium while simultaneously creating a valuable promotional tool and multi-platform exposure for all parties involved." said Shawn Holiday, Sr. VP A&R for Interscope/Geffen Records. "We are thrilled to be working with Codeblack and believe that this model will revolutionize the future landscape of music and music videos."

Comparable to the smash hit single of the same name, "I Tried" packs a platinum punch, and will be released in conjunction with the re-release of Bone Thugs' smash album Strength & Loyalty.

The DVD will be available nationally at leading music merchants including Best Buy, Circuit City, FYE as well as major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target, and Blockbuster.

B-Legit Preps Block Movement With Release Of 'Throwblock Muzic' This November

Bay Area rapper, B Legit, gets ready to release his upcoming solo album Throwblock Muzic.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 28, 2007 -- B-Legit has been a major player on the West Coast for many years as both a founding father of the independent rap scene and strong contributor to the Bay Area Hip Hop movement. After a long hiatus, B is currently putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album release Throwblock Muzic, which will unquestionably make his fans happy and reaffirm his place in the music industry.

B-Legit has been a staple in the Bay Area music scene for years. His legendary status as a pioneering artist and business man helped put his hometown of Vallejo and the greater Bay Area on the map. His most famous release, Hemp Museum, has become a Bay Area classic and he is confident that Throwblock Muzic will also be a huge success.

"Hands On Them Knees" is the first single off Throwblock Muzic, which has a total of 16 tracks. The album features an array of Bay Area superstars including, E-40, Mac Dre, Clyde Carson, Harm from the Rich and Levitti as well as some renowned producers, Mike Mosely, Goldfingaz, Stix, Troy Sanders and E-A-Ski. Always one to help up and coming Bay Area rappers, B-Legit features artists he signed to his label, Block Movement, on the album, they include Taj-He-Spitz, Duna, 2wiceberg Slym and Harm from the Rich.

The concept for Throwblock Muzic is a bit different, says B. "I stay recording, so I have songs that I love but didn't fit on my last album and don't fit on my new album so I took my favorite ones, touched 'em up, recorded some new songs and came up with Throwblock Muzic ." B-Legit also put some tracks on the album that were until that time only released on mixtapes, he remixed them and added new artists to the songs. Throwblock Muzic is only the first phase in B-Legit's Block Movement. "My last album hit before the Hyphy Movement broke, I'm known for that classic mob music so I fell back and went to work. I gave the kids a chance but now I have to step in and do what I do best. Throwblock Muzic is to hold you over until Block Business."

Throwblock Muzic will surely redefine why B-Legit is considered one of the legendary artists of the Bay Area. SMC Recordings will release Throwblock Muzic Nov. 20, 2007. Block Business is set for release March 2008

The China Youth Culture Study 07' Provides Insider Knowledge and Research to Understand This Complicated Marketplace

September 28, 2007
DUBLIN, Ireland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c69754) has announced the addition of new Label Networks report China Youth Culture Study 07' to their offering.

The China Youth Culture Study — This is the only consumer insights study about the 15-25-year-olds marketplace in China and is one of the most profiled subscription programs from Label Networks due to the rarity of getting this kind of information. Results in this Study taken from Shanghai, Beijing, + Guangzhou quantify how vital it is for even the most localized trendsetting brands in America to know what's taking shape in China. Based on the sheer heft of its size and burgeoning economy, this youth marketplace is having a major ripple effect that continues to shape global business strategies — making Chinese youth culture one of the most sought after new markets in the world.

However virgin the marketplace seems in China, it is a complicated place which takes insider knowledge and research to understand, as detailed in the China Youth Culture Study. As the first generation of the one-child rule to have experienced economic reforms, open markets, and capitalism with a Communist twist, the youth market's developing culture is greatly influenced by Japan, Korea, and Western influences, but is starting to create a lifestyle wholly its own. These traits in fashion, spending patterns, technology and communication, music, and especially sports with the ramp-up to the '08 Beijing Olympics, are important trends to understand regarding the dynamics of the future of global youth culture.

Overall, the China Youth Culture Study includes actionable results and macro trend summaries and forecasting regarding specifics about fashion, brands, shopping, preferences, (with special reports on denim, T-shirts, and footwear), spending patterns, technology + electronics, video gaming, music, action sports, individual + team sports, entertainment patterns, marketing + advertising effectiveness, lifestyle traits, Internet patterns + social networks, cell phones, new media, future concerns, attitudes, changing styles, and influences.

Highlights from the China Youth Culture Study include

-- Sneaker Culture remains a competitive marketplace in China, but with new stand-outs including New Balance in Shanghai and Li Ning among 15-17-year-olds indicates that while the race it tight for top brands, there's movement and space for entry of others.

-- Internet Cafes as Cultural Hotspots mean young people are online in massive numbers with high percentages shopping online and searching for new ideas, styles, + trends online — this is in higher percentages than 15-25-year-olds in Europe based on Label Networks' Pan-European Study

-- Video Gaming in China indicates the importance of portable devices vs. consoles in the future, as well as online gaming with multi-player games steadily increasing since 02005

-- Basketball + hero Yao Ming continue to set new trends in sports with males and females taking up basketball and greatly influenced by the American NBA

-- Music Videos + Music Talent Shows are among the top influences in pop culture, giving rise to the popularity of TV show competitions, dance, + martial arts participation

-- Mobile Numbers for Sale = big business as the usual numbers for mobile phones in China starts with 13 (bad luck). Recently users are willing to pay high prices to purchase unique number such as numbers with 4 eights which can sell as high as 2400 to 2800 RMB and those which have no lucky or fortunate numbers can be purchased at 50 to 60 RMB. (Lucky numbers are 6, 8, and 9.)

-- Shanghai + Rap/Hip-Hop: Here, young people clearly have the most diverse tastes in music preferences and the strongest market that prefers Rap/Hip-Hop at 37.1% among 15-25-year-olds.

-- Ridiculous Sister + Brother Poppy: Two "icons" that are currently the odd stars in China put their pictures in their blog posing in all kinds of styles and positions and allowing anyone to be critics. They're not just two people, but a group who love to put their ugly looking pictures on websites to publicize themselves and draw people's attention (think YouTube and the famous China boy-band singers) although they obviously are not beautiful. They wish to be famous but choose the most ridiculous ways to present themselves.

-- Music + Importance of Ringtones: More than 80% of mobile users have downloaded songs or comic dialogue to be used as their ring tones. Downloading ring tones has become a representative for your individuality and image with hundreds of websites to download ring tones. There are two types of ring tone categories: Songs and Character Ring Tones. The first includes English and Chinese pop songs, classical music, and even the national anthem. Character ring tones can be sounds of animals, nature, and funny things or dialogue from a movie or play and amusing phrase or short talk. In Guangzhou, Cantonese pop songs are one of the favorite choices. 41% would change their ring tones within a week and 42% would change within 2 weeks.

-- The Rise of the Green Collar Generation — A new future working class, the Green Collar is a younger generation that goes to university or has an education and are influenced by new thoughts about the environment, health, global well-being. Green Collar people will have a career but will try to maintain a life of quality: They try to find time to exercise or live healthy. Unlike the other Collar groups (Gold, Grey), they don't prefer high class places but rather like to have gatherings at simple places with themes to organize their own events. They also do charity work.

-- Flash Competition/Movie "Re-making" — After the so-called mega movie "The Promise," directed by Chen Kaige, a college student, Hu Ge, re-made the movie by abstracting parts and inserting new voices and music. The result of the re-make caught more attention than the movie and suddenly re-making movies into short movies or flash movies are popular, which some brands also tend to used now to advertise their products, i.e., car ads.

Subscription Package also includes:

-- Quantitative Charts, Graphs, Frequencies, plusCross-tabulations by Gender, Age Groups, + City including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou (+ access to a Hong Kong Report from '05)

-- Macro Trend Editorial Summaries detailing high-level trends written in an easy-to-understand format about the changing landscape of the marketplace within each topic

-- Historic Trending comparisons to show changes in the marketplace + future forecasting

-- Street Photography depicting leading-edge street fashion, footwear, accessories, attitudes, + individual style

-- "Cred Reports" — Truly unique insider perspectives on a variety of trends, changes, + developments in China written by Label Networks' China field research managers, the Cred Report from China is an invaluable addition to this subscription program

(September 26, 2007 - Brooklyn, NY)  Seminal rapper, hip-hop icon, and founding member of the mighty Hieroglyphics crew, Del The Funky Homosapien has embarked on the beginning of a 2-month long nationwide tour in support of his long anticipated album, The 11th Hour.  The tour, which shares the name of his upcoming album, will also feature fellow Hiero founder A-Plus, along with Devin The Dude with the Coughee Brothers, Bukue One, The Serendipity Projects and special guests Knobody and Junk Science to perform on select dates.

On the 11th Hour Tour, Del will be performing a mix of classic cuts from his previous albums along with new tracks from the upcoming album, including the tracks "Sit Down" and "Workin' It."  The aptly named The 11th Hour marks Del's first solo release in almost 7 years. Having experienced his fair share of life's trials and tribulations over the course of his long and successful career, Del explained the reason for the album title. "You can't fully control all the different variables that come into play in your life.  Something is bound to be faulty and set you back," says Del.  He explains, "I've spent the last couple of years dealing with drama in my life, touring the country several times over, and diving deep into studying music theory."  Fans can celebrate the fruits of Del's labor of love with the release of The 11th Hour in early '08.

For The 11th Hour, Del has partnered with legendary New York based indie hip-hop label Definitive Jux, with the backing of the label he helped create, Hiero Imperium.

Bursting onto the scene in 1990, Del the Funky Homosapien started his professional career writing lyrics for his cousin Ice Cube's crew, Da Lench Mob when he was still in high school. Soon, Elektra Recording Group signed him and released the critically acclaimed album, I Wish My Brother Georgia Was Here. After releasing another album, No Need For Alarm in 1994, Del, along with grammar school buddies, Souls of Mischief, Casual, Pep Love, and Domino, founded one of the most successful indie hip-hop collectives of all time, The Hieroglyphics. Hiero Imperium has etched out their place in history as the trailblazer for artist owned and operated hip-hop labels and also for embracing the internet as a means of selling their merchandise as early as 1997. Del, along with the rest of the members of Hiero and their third-eye logo are recognized around the world for their lyrical prowess, great live shows, and dozens of critically acclaimed releases which have sold over 3 million units collectively.

"RAGS TO RICHES: NICK CANNON" PREMIERES TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2 AT 11 PM*

Award winning talent Nick Cannon has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with, and he shows no signs of slowing down. Join Nick Cannon, as he takes viewers through the streets of South East San Diego to expose his touching and personal account of early struggles and humble beginnings. Now he is giving back to his community and to the people who helped him realize his stardom. Nick's current success will be brought to life in the critically acclaimed "Rags To Riches," a new documentary series on VH1. Watch Nick as he celebrates the best aspects of human nature: the capacity to overcome hardship through dedicated work and the joy of giving back to those in need.

"VH1 ROCK DOCS: FADE TO BLACK" & "CLASSIC ALBUMS: JAY-Z"
PREMIERE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3 STARTING AT 8:30 PM*

Shawn Carter (Jay-Z) has been one of the most influential figures in black American music since the mid-nineties. "Fade To Black" reveals the multiple Grammy Award winning artist as never before, from his background and rise to fame to the recording of his last album. The film chronicles his legendary concert at Madison Square Garden in November 2003 that featured guest performances by Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, R. Kelly, Foxy Brown, Pharrell, and ?uestlove and The Illadelphonics along with appearances by hip hop icons Damon Dash, Rick Rubin, Slick Rick, P. Diddy and many others. Viewers get the rare glimpse into Jay-Z's creative process as he searches for inspiration, poetry, and perfection in his songs. Narrated by Jay-Z himself, his account of the night takes on reflections of his entire musical career and his journey that led to this one astounding, fabled evening -- rightfully called "Fade To Black."

And premiering at 11 PM is VH1's latest addition to the "Classic Albums" franchise that takes us back through the whole creative process behind Jay-Z's stunning first release "Reasonable Doubt." Initially as a performer racking up an incredibly successful string of hit singles and albums and later as an executive, having taken on the presidency of Def Jam Records in 2004. "Reasonable Doubt" is still considered by many to be his finest achievement. A much harder hitting and edgy record than his later more polished and pop orientated releases, it announced to the world that a new rap star had arrived.

Salt is angry about being unappreciated when they were together and Pepa blames Salt for breaking up the group. Their lifestyles are also polar opposites: Salt is a devout Christian and is living a quiet life in Long Island with her husband, while Pepa is still the party girl and desperately wants to re-capture the glamour of Salt 'N Pepa's glory days. Can they overcome their differences long enough to heal their friendship and perform again?

After being investigated for 3 years by the federal government and acquitted, on charges of money laundering, Irv Gotti is now attempting a comeback with his label, The Inc., while also juggling his responsibilities as a husband and father. NEW YORK, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to Big Cat Record's press release announcing they are releasing unauthorized Gucci Mane music, Gucci Mane issues the following statement:

Not only was this done with out my approval, but the music they are trying to release is unfinished and does not represent who I am today as an artist. I ask my fans not to support this release and instead wait for the official Gucci Mane, Back To The TrapHouse album coming out on my label So Icey Entertainment/Czar/ Asylum/Atlantic Records on November 13th, and if anyone needs to book me for a show or get in contact with me they should only call the So Icey offices."

Dancers and Breaker are participating in the III. Junior Delphic Games 2007 in November in The Philippines.

"Bridging Arts and Cultures for our Children's Future" This is going to be the motto of the III Junior Delphic Games 2007 in Baguio City, The Philippines from 10 – 15 November 2007. After the First Junior Delphic Games 1997 in Tbilisi, Georgia and 2003 in Düsseldorf / Germany, The Philippines will be the third country to host the Junior Delphic Games. Free Percussion, Rap, Hip-Hop, Break-dance, Improvisation theatre, film, painting, Photography and singing are only a few of the art disciplines, for which Baguio City offers the artistic juniors of this world a public stage. Participants from Asia place naturally the largest number of participants. However, Korea as host of the III Delphic Games 2009 sends more than 100 young artists to the Games in November, among them the best the best breakers of the country. Also Germany will be represented with contemporary dancers and Choreographers as well as breakers from Duesseldorf and Berlin.

THE DELPHIC GAMES OF THE MODERN ERA – TO UNDERSTAND, TO LEARN AND TO BE AMAZED

The Delphic Games are historically a peace creating competition of the Arts. They took place for about 1000 years in ancient Greece one year prior to the Olympic Games and had an equal social ranking within society. Six months before the beginning of the Games the organizers proclaimed the Delphic Peace Accord. Thereby, Delphic became the neutral crossroads to make contacts and for solving conflicts. Nowadays, presentations and exhibitions offer an impressive program of the six Delphic Art Categories, including traditional and contemporary arts. Staggered two years apart in a 4-year rhythm, the International Delphic Council (IDC) www.delphic.org organizes Delphic Games and Junior Delphic Games. They take place alternately at different competing places and on different continents.

The Games will gather the world's best artists in six Delphic Art Categories. Independent experts, acting as jurors and observers, ensure professional appraisal criteria and making sure that the talented artists will benefit – thus honouring their personal achievements as well as their teachers, caretakers and supporters. Cultures do not enter into a competition but showcase their respective arts. They learn from each other by conversing, getting together and treating each other with mutual respect.

The III Delphic Games 2009 for adults will be held in Jeju / Korea and therefore also in Asia. As in the past events 2000 in Moscow/Russia and 2005 in Kuching / Malaysia, the Games will be held under the patronage of international Institutions (Council of Europe, UNESCO and ASEAN States)

RAPPER TRINA's OFFICAL FIRST SINGLE "SINGLE AGAIN" STOLEN FROM AN UNDISCLOSED STUDIO

(Miami- Florida) Miami based record label Slip N Slide was informed yesterday September 25 th, 2007 that  their female artist Trina newest unreleased single entitled "Single Again" was stolen from the studio and leaked in an email blast. In hast however the perpetrator stole the wrong version on the track.

With a more than "high demand" for the critically acclaimed "Queen of The South" to speed up her come back process, Insiders speculate that a anxious individual stole the Un -leaked single entitled 'Single Again' from the computer and distributed it illegally.

CEO of Slip N Slide Records Ted Lucas, states that "This mishap is extremely unfortunate and that the official "Single Again" track ft. Trina by herself will be Re-released the proper way by the end of the week, I am thankful that nothing else was taken from the computer, I guess we can look at this as a bizarre experience and move forward with upcoming Trina's project."

Rapping Sensation Trina is in complete shock, and at a lost for words at a time in music when a break in occurs due to the high demand and secrecy of a new single being released.

Slip N Slide publicist Krystle Coleman stated that "the label has taken immediate action for Trina's album "Da Baddest Chick part 2  Reloaded" is set to drop in February 2008, with guest appearances by Missy Elliot and Gwen Stefani.

In addition to Trina's fourth coming album "Da Baddest Chick part 2 Reloaded" Trina is also launching her lifestyle brands in the beginning of 2008. Her lifestyle brands will consist of signature fragrances, hand picked by the Diamond Princess herself as well as a line of luxury clothes, consisting of one of a kind piece.

Trina Music History Trina's single 'Pull Over', became a huge worldwide success, the song brought attention to Trina's voluptuous body, which got her plenty of recognition as a sex symbol. Trina had now become a household name and got a taste of success with her album selling more than 700,000 copies in the

United States alone.

Trina has been a prominent feature on numerous remixes and has released three solo albums and two mix tapes. When she first stepped on the scene, she caught the attention of the public by being provocative and vulgar. But like any human being, Trina's music and personal life have been a constant evolution. Her last album, 'Glamorest Life' which went Gold, included the Billboard top charting #3 single 'Here We Go Again', Ft. Kelly Rowland from the Grammy Award winning group Destiny's Child.
