Make a Change Fundraiser | August 15/07
Urbanology will donate over 100 one-year subscriptions to this amazing event held by Go Getters Entertainment on Canada’s west coast. The event is set to bring awareness and raise money in an effort to bring safe water to Africa through World Vision.
Get Your Money Right Hip-Hop Summit | August 18/07
For weeks leading up to this event, Urbanology has participated in a grassroots marketing campaign handing out over 500 tickets to youth in the GTA and fellow up and coming entrepreneurs, musicians, professionals and students. On site at the second annual summit, Urbanology staff members will be on hand handing out complimentary magazines, promoting its internship program and connecting with its readers.
Dunk on AIDS Basketball Tournament | August 18/07
Urbanology will donate 400 magazines to this charity basketball event held at Ryerson University in an effort to raise awareness about AIDS. Participants as well as spectators will walk away with complimentary copies of the SUMMER 2007 issue featuring Tyrese Gibson and Bobbito Garcia on the double cover.
Battle of the Beat Makers Part V | August 25/07
Since its inception Urbanology has been an integral part of Canada’s premier producer competition. This year, Urbanology will again present the winner of the round robin battle with the opportunity to be featured in the Winter 2007 issue’s coveted Lab Sessions column. Dedicated to unveiling the grind of a producer, the column has featured the likes of Marco Polo, Jazze Pha, DJ Premier and Hi-Tek in the past. All 32 finalists will receive subscriptions and attendees will be the first to receive a special collector’s edition FALL 2007 issue.
