Yung Joc Electrifies Crowd, Hip-Hop Legend, DMC and Actor, Clifton Powell Make Big Splash at Myrtle Beach
MILWAUKEE, WI (June 7, 2007) – Hundreds of thousands of Motorcyclists from across the country indulged in a weekend of sun, sand, food, some of hottest entertainment and baddest bikes on the planet courtesy of Harley-Davidson at the Atlantic Beach Bike Festival a.k.a. Black Bike Week at Colonial Mall in Myrtle Beach. S.C.
Hip-Hop sensation Yung Joc lit the crowd on fire while on-stage at the ‘Harley-Davidson Experience.’ Meanwhile, hip-hop forefather and icon Darryl “DMC” McDaniels was on hand to lead motorcyclists on the free Harley-Davidson demo rides, sign autographs and pose for shots with fans that he intimately calls his “friends.” Also attending on behalf of Harley-Davidson, was Clifton Powell, star of ‘Next Friday’ (2000) and ‘Menace II Society’ (1993) getting many laughs from attendees while going into his infamous character, “Pinky” from the hit movie, ‘Next Friday.’
“Harley-Davidson is continuously looking for ways to reach out to and be involved with the community in ways that are as unique and diverse as our riders themselves,” says Lynn Bonner, Director of Market Outreach. To facilitate their outreach efforts and to whet the appetites of motorcycle enthusiasts, the ‘Harley-Davidson Experience’ included demo rides on 2007 Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycles, a bike wash detail center for all motorcycles, free admission into the renown Harley-Davidson Traveling Museum, New Product Display showcasing 2007 motorcycles, MotorClothes and Parts and Accessories, the Buell Team Xtreem stunt show, three-point basketball shoot outs, pool, and a video gaming center.
