MIAMI, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- rakontur, the independent production company headed by Alfred Spellman and Billy Corben and responsible for the critically acclaimed feature documentaries Cocaine Cowboys and Raw Deal, announced it has wrapped production on its nightclub documentary series CLUBLAND.
The series will be distributed exclusively on the web in fifty 5-minute webisodes and marks the first time the company has produced original content for the internet, rakontur is currently considering online distribution and advertising/sponsorship offers.

Created and shot in South Beach Miami, CLUBLAND chronicles the planning, construction and eventual opening of one of most exciting new celebrity hangouts in the world, Mokai Lounge. Within a month of opening its doors, Mokai Lounge has played host to such notables as Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Sean Puffy Combs, Lindsay Lohan, Jay-Z, Beyonce and Paris Hilton. CLUBLAND will take viewers beyond the velvet rope, through the VIP lounges, past the DJ booth and into the back office of this exciting nightclub. It is the story of the money, the egos, the catfights and the controversies. The series follows Nicola Siervo as he launches this new lounge set to be a fierce competitor of the celebrity hangout, Mynt Lounge, which he previously operated.
