Oakland, CA – February 2007 – U-ZONE Magazine and The SonShine Faktory have teamed up to once again provide an opportunity that has in recent times only been afforded by the major labels and their artists. The 1st Urban Faktory Showcase will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2007, at the BB King Club in Nashville, TN. This event, held during GMA week, will be open to the general public and is one that is sure to bring a greater awareness to the ministries of all artists who participate.
Soliciting artists from various genres of Gospel music, Urban Contemporary, Praise and Worship, Holy Hip Hop, CCM and more are encouraged to participate. There are ONLY 10 SLOTS available for artists to participate.
All interested labels/artists are asked to send in a tape of their performance to the address along with cover letter and media kit to include full contact, bio, cd and UGA member #. The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 9, 2007. Once selected, artists will be asked to forward their performance fees in order to secure their slot on the showcase. Registration is open to UGA members as well as Non-members. Interested artists are urged to call 302-761-9009 to get in on this groundbreaking opportunity.

"Additionally," she adds, because this is not an "industry" based event, the artists have more of a chance to actually saturate general consumers.

Table space to sell product @ showcase
1 year individual (not corporate) membership to UGA
1 free e-blast to over 63,000 recipients (graphics provided by the artist)
Inclusion on advertisements for the event
