Media and Entertainment industry visionary, Jacob R. Miles III was part of the team that pioneered licensing of TV and Film properties for toys and games in the 1970′s. Part of the early part of his career is told in MC Lord’s book, Forever Barbie, it tells the story of his involvement in the first multi-cultural large dolls being mass produced in America.
His career has included work on some of the leading TV, Film and Toy properties in the world. His career spanning three decades includes stints at Kenner Products, General Mills Toy and Entertainment Group, TONKA TOYS and Hasbro. He has worked on Star Wars, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, SEGA Game Systems, among many others, He has worked with Bandai, Irwin Toys, Warner Bros, DIC Entertainment, Film Roman, Hallmark, American Greetings, HBO, BET among others.
He created Hollywood Hounds, an animated pets singing group TV program promoting diversity that is now part of the DIC Entertainment library. He was part of the team that introduced C’Bear and Jamal content and products, the first animated series to feature a hip hop artist, Tone Loc
He founded Cultural Exchange Entertainment Inc., an entertainment company focused on the development of children’s entertainment and toys dedicated to cultural diversity and non-violence for which he was awarded the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award. He is a past Black Enterprise Emerging Company of the year award winner and is featured in Earl Graves’, (Founder and publisher of Black Enterprise magazine), book "How to Succeed in Business Without being White".
