February 7, 2007 (Dallas, Texas) —- CWC Entertainment Group announced today the shutdown of their music division website www.cwcrecords.com effective March 3rd, 2007. Since the music division (C.W.C. Records: The New Movement In Music!) and it’s flagship artist split last year, the website has basically served as the online home for the burgeoning promoter collective “Metro Muzik: The Union.”
“We didn’t deem it necessary to continually provide an online presence for a product that wasn’t fully available,” stated President & Co-Owner Vincent Tucker. “When we begin to release DJ Ogre’s music projects in addition to signing artists and distributing albums, we’ll visit re-launching the website. We believe this move also reconfirms the company’s focus with the 1st Annual High School Hip-Hop Showcase™ and Metro Muzik: The Union.”
With the shutdown of the music division website, CWC Entertainment Group will be hard at work at continuing the online presence of Metro Muzik: The Union with the launch of MetroMuzikTheUnion.com. Referred to as This Generation’s Rat Pack, Metro Muzik: The Union is a group of record label executives and concert promoters leading the fight for Independent Hip-Hop and R&B artists in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
The members of this faction are CWC Entertainment Group Co-Owners Vincent Tucker & Chris Panayiotou along with Jaimeian “Kuwn-Dalini” Pride (7PM Inc.) and Cedric Jemmerson (Grind Hard Entertainment). The Dallas Observer recently wrote that Metro Muzik: The Union was one of five things to look out for in 2007 within the Dallas music & entertainment field.
With MetroMuzikTheUnion.com set to launch March 4th, 2007, the Metro Muzik movement will finally have its own online identity. Vincent, who also is the marketing director for Metro Muzik: The Union, will be working closely with Jaimeian “Kuwn-Dalini” Pride & Jake Smallz (Webmaster, CWC Entertainment Group) to make sure the image of the collective is presented correctly.
