1/18/07–04:00 p.m.–New York, NY—
Unedited… uncut… raw truth. That’s how Young Blue’s mixtape "My Diary" has been described by those that have had the privilege of hearing a few leaked tracks over the Internet.
Hip Hop’s #1 draft pick is scheduled to release his highly anticipated debut album "Dear Diary" in March, but first Young Blue will drop his mixtape with the similar name "My Diary".
Blue’s mixtape will be for promotional use only and will consist of both well-known producers and newcomers to the game.
The mixtape is backed by the label that Blue is signed to, Music Unlimited Records. "My Diary will play more like an album than a traditional mixtape" states Music Unlimited Records CEO A.V. Hodge.
These recordings are the bare essence of Hip-Hop recorded and engineered in Blue’s living room strictly for the comfort level and familiarity. No high tech studio, just a computer, one mic and Young Blue.
These tracks were taken very seriously and hit head on as if it were a traditional album. Blue plugged the mic into his arm and let his soul bleed on the tracks. There are demons that he confronts for both himself and others.
All artists are hereby put on notice that Young Blue is coming… don’t say that you weren’t warned.
