Rapper, Activist and now Youth Mentor... This is Only the Beginning!!!

NYOIL to mentor at-risk youth in New Jersey

November 30, 2006
Staten Island, NY -- NYOIL, the artist responsible for the socially conscious song "Y'all Should All Get Lynched" and the racially charged "What up my Wigger", will be appearing at the South Second Street Youth Center in Plainfield, NJ on Monday December 4, 2006 to mentor at-risk youth.

The mission of the SSYC Mentoring Program is to reaffirm the lessons that parents teach by reinforcing the success principles of a spiritual life and developing our children to have greater self-esteem and self confidence; to be assertive and studious; and to develop those character traits that will prepare them to make significant, positive contributions to their family, community and to the society at large.

The subject of NYOIL’s discussion will be "Played for Play" – how the music industry plays the youth for the purpose of record sales. NYOIL will be bringing production equipment, giving the kids an opportunity to make a song of their own while learning about the song making process.

NYOIL’s passion for educating the youth and uplifting the Black community is the driving force behind his music and his message. Plans for the immediate future include the creation of a mentoring program to assist young Black boys in their journey to becoming strong Black men.

All media interested in covering the event on Monday, please contact Alyse Feldman at 917-674-6067 or onthefly@mail2fly.com

While Black Leaders Focus On Richards' Controversy, Najee Ali Aims To Bring Brutalized Black Journalists Ann Brown and Tonye Allen Back Home

NOVEMBER 2006

Statement By DeBorah B. Pryor

Who would have thought that a strange looking White Man spewing the "N" word would overshadow the immediacy of returning two Black journalists to safety. Go figure... While Jesse Jackson is busy helping Mike Richards’ work through his issues, community civil rights activist Najee Ali has detoured to assist in the efforts to bring African American journalists Tonye Allen and his fiancée, Ann Brown back home. Harassed, choked and beaten severely, the journalists remain in Toronto, Canada involuntarily; and have been there, for well over a month, with no assistance from the U. S. political community. The reason why is still unclear.

“Of course I can help and will help. That’s what civil rights activists do,” stated Najee Ali via email to this writer, who have been in contact with the beleaguered journalists and made the request of Ali.  A controversial community activist recognized for his passionate activism on behalf of oppressed people everywhere, Ali, a former gang member who turned his life around following a stint in prison founded the non-profit national civil rights organization Project Islamic H.O.P.E. and serves as Executive Director.  He continues to be a front line initiator on many highly publicized injustices and those the television cameras show no interest in.

Though calls were made to the offices of Black leaders across the country, as of this writing Ali is the only one who has responded. With regard to these two journalists, known to many in the media via their bylines and contributions to publications including Essence magazine, Vibe magazine, Black Enterprise and in Mr. Allen’s case, The Village Voice, Rolling Stone and many hip hop publications, Mr. Ali will use his influence to connect with congressional representatives, the senate and the U. S. Embassy in Canada.

Allen and Brown’s nightmare began when they stopped over in Canada on their way to South Africa in October.  As journalists they had been in and out of the city on several occasions during the past year working on stories; which referenced the city in glowing detail. Obviously, it would only be a matter of time before the city whose country is symbolized by a Maple Leaf revealed its other side. On October 16 the journalists checked out of the Econolodge Hotel on Jarvis Street in Toronto and proceeded to hail a taxi. Without warning, they were besieged by Canadian police who beat and pepper sprayed Mr. Allen, a photojournalist before arresting him. Allen, who was handcuffed during the beating sustained multiple injuries to the head; with abrasions and bruises, loss of hearing, dislocated jaw, and damage to his eyes amongst an extensive list of inconclusive injuries. Ms. Brown, his fiancée, was choked, shoved and threatened with arrest during the altercation. The altercation was at the hands of two Black police officers.

Mr. Allen, who has never had any prior arrests, has since been released on bail in the recognizance of Brown, who was required to post $1,000 bail in cash and ordered to supervise Allen; whose passport remains in the hands of the Canadian government.

As reported in an article in EUR [October 23, 2006] via information from a former Toronto police officer, police brutality in Canada is nothing new, but it is definitely on the rise; and from all angles, they appear to have little interest in trying to cover it up.  In Brown’s attempts to learn why her fiancée was being charged, the audacious retort “We’ll think of something,” coming from the mouth of “Detective Moyer of the 51st precinct” screams “we get away with this kind of [sic, expletive] all the time.” While his thought process eventually landed on “assault of two policeman and resisting arrest, times two,” he fell short of explaining why it was that these two people were being arrested in the first place.

According to Brown, Jason E. Bogle, a lawyer whom she and Allen are working with, had his own share of problems with Canadian law enforcement a year ago when they decided to give him a birthday gift. While sitting with his girlfriend in a parked car, Bogle, a Black man, was surrounded by officers in five unmarked cars and a marked van screaming “drug dealer.”  Pulled violently from the car, he was thrown to the ground while his girlfriend watched in horror. When he was finally able to show them his Bar identification, they remarked, “So you’re a drug dealer AND a lawyer?” From the looks of things, Canadian law enforcement appears to have a penchant for brutalizing Black men in front of a targeted audience: Black women. To hear Bogles videotaped account of his harrowing experience, visit www.bogleslawoffice.com .

Meanwhile the November 28th pre-trial net little progress for the pair. While they have yet to raise the funds to retain counsel, lawyer Bogle appeared with Allen anyway in an attempt to have his passport returned; but the court put the issue off until Friday, December 1, when Allen is ordered to appear again.  Via the blog site http://tonyeallenandannbrown.blogspot.com/ readers can lend their support of Allen and Brown on a variety of levels. They would appreciate the in-person support of anyone who can come to the courthouse for the December 1st court date at 444 Yonge Street, Downtown Toronto, Room 505 at 10 A. M.

“I was beaten three times--on the street, in the hospital [and] in the police station while being strip-searched,” says Allen, who has not left his hotel room since the October altercation.  I was pepper sprayed twice…when I asked for a lawyer…and threatened by the police and prison guards. I want my passport back and the charges dropped. They called us terrorists in court but I abhor terrorists of any kind, and that includes abusive authorities. I have traveled to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, and the Caribbean and have never been attacked.” “We were merely on a trip visiting the city of Toronto and this happened to us,” says his fiancée, Ann Brown “But from what I am learning, it is a growing problem here... and before Black Americans decide to vacation here or do business here, they should think twice.”

With the Re-opening of Katrina: A Whole Lotta Water just around the corner on Dec 14th his organization and their sponsor Fractured Atlas anticipates a lot of buzz about the off Broadway play. The play features the original music of Rap/Activist "Shakka" and his popular Katrina song "So Much Water". THG (THE HUSTLE GAME) announces the release of S.U.N.'s "FUGITIVE"

THE BIG SHOW
Laced with a jagged club banging track produced by "The S.E.C.", S.U.N.'s lyrics like "It's the big show, but can't break a leg like T.O., but my P.O. out to run me back like Lito" show's his strong representation of North Florida Life. He effortlessly uses Jacksonville native Lito Sheppard's 100 yard 2006 interception return as a simile for being "run" back to incarceration for violation. The hook simply presents a fact, then poses a question, "I had to run like a fugitive, what you'd a did?" then proclaims S.U.N.'s sharp North Florida swagger, "Yeah a n*&^a on the run, but still fresh in Azzure."

The S.U.N. of a Bold New South
S.U.N. is one of the most enticing and skillfully structured independent artists in the South. He has performed with the likes of Trick Daddy and Lil Jon just to name a few. Duval Streetz Magazine recently featured the artist in the "Under The Radar" section saying, "It’s like he knew the drought was coming, so he waited and now he bout to flood the streets with pure pressha."

"Fugitive": True Story
When asked why go public with his nearly eight year ordeal as a fugitive from Florida law enforcement officials he responded, "It’s authentic and where I’m from alot of guys are on paper or on the run for alot of things, mostly ’cause they rightfully don’t trust the court system, I’m a voice for them excluding the degenerates. North Florida has always had a fugitive history. We’ve been labeled as criminals since the days that the runaway slaves (from all over the south and Caribbean) came here as a haven to eventually form the largest, most violent slave rebellion, The Seminole Wars. That‘s really the basis of the FUGITIVE movement."

The Game and Travis Barker to Rock AOL Music

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- In what will be the first AOL Music Session of its kind, multi-platinum recording artists The Game and Travis Barker are joining forces for a unique recording event that will air December 1st on AOL Music (www.aolmusic.com).

(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20061130/LATH040 )

Single-handedly (literally, as sole instrumentalist performing with one arm in a sling due to a recent fracture) Travis Barker will provide a musical backdrop for The Game, as the two southern California natives reinterpret selections from The Game's sophomore album, "Doctor's Advocate," which was released on November 14th and debuted at #1 on the Billboard chart, having sold 358,278 copies. Barker's newest venture, the band (+44), also had an album drop the same day. "When Your Heart Stops Beating" bowed at #10 on the Billboard chart.

Barker broke his right arm while shooting (+44)'s first music video, but the injury has not slowed him down. The band, which also includes Barker's former Blink-182 bandmate Mark Hoppus, Craig Fairbaugh of The Transplants and Shane Gallagher of The Nervous Return, is now in the middle of a nationwide tour.

In addition to The Game's chart success, his new line of Hurricane sneakers in stores, and his performance for MTV's $2 Bill Concert which aired over the Thanksgiving holiday, the man who calls himself the face of Los Angeles is now preparing to trek across Europe. He will touch down on December 4th in Manchester (U.K.) and hit some of the continent's largest cities and music halls throughout the month.

A preview of this amazing AOL performance is available at http://comptongame.com/AOL before it's December 1st premiere on AOL. In addition, the audio recording from this special performance will be available exclusively on iTunes on December 28th. The fusion of Mr. Barker and The Game, two of music's biggest personalities and brightest talents, will make for an AOL Music first that offers something for both rock and rap fans alike.

YouTube and Cingular Wireless Crown Winners of First Underground Contest

YouTube Community Recognizes Greenland, Maldroid, Ostrich Head and Pawnshop Roses as They Rise Up in First YouTube Music Promotion

SAN BRUNO, CA and ATLANTA, GA -- (Market Wire - Nov 29, 2006) --  YouTube, a consumer media company that allows people to watch and share original videos through a Web experience, today announced the winners of the YouTube Underground contest presented by Cingular Wireless, the nation's largest wireless carrier. Hundreds of thousands of people in the YouTube community voted on the video entries submitted -- which topped 2,200 -- determining who would rise up as the best bands in the YouTube Underground presented by Cingular.

From the top finalists selected by YouTube community votes, Alexandra Patsavas of Chop Shop Music Supervision selected Greenland as best song, Maldroid as best music video, Ostrich Head as best creative work and Pawnshop Roses as best live performance. Patsavas is well-regarded as an award-winning music supervisor for her work on shows such as "The O.C.," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Without a Trace."

"We left it to the community to find the best bands in the YouTube Underground presented by Cingular, and they discovered some truly gifted musicians," said Julie Supan, senior director of marketing for YouTube. "We're thrilled with the success of this contest and will continue to create promotions that will help musicians reach new audiences and achieve success, while also helping partners like Cingular reach new audiences in innovative and exciting ways."

The winning bands appeared today on ABC's Good Morning America where their videos were aired during the broadcast. The bands also received roundtrip airfare and lodging in New York City, new equipment from Gibson Guitar and Epiphone, use of the Gibson Guitar exclusive tour bus while in New York City, a front page video feature on YouTube and the chance to have their song featured in a major film or television show by Chop Shop Music Supervision.

"We are excited to be a part of the first-ever YouTube music promotion, and to help give these young bands a new avenue through which to have their music discovered," said David Garver, Executive Director, Segment Marketing and Sponsorships, Cingular Wireless. "Cingular is always looking for ways to be on the cutting edge of the music world, and we are excited to be partnered with YouTube and the YouTube community."

Cingular Video subscribers were able to view selected clips of the video entries on their wireless phones since the launch of the contest and now have access to the four winning videos.

About the Bands

Greenland: BEST SONG

Winning Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P9EonMpzlM

Five piece pop-outfit Greenland hails from Nashville. The band plans to dominate the world with true pop/rock that pleases the harshest music critics while still making sure not to alienate the public by being too artsy or exclusive. A product of its past, Greenland blends Beach Boys and Beatles-esque harmonies with modern influences including Radiohead, Wilco, Phish and Coldplay and early '90s guitar rock and '70s folk rock. With four vocalists, three who are known to take the lead, the band's winning song "The Way it Is" was written to create an awareness that change must come from the individual and society will catch up.

Maldroid: BEST MUSIC VIDEO

Winning Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHGvh3i35Uk

Maldroid formed in March of 2006 in rebellion to today's forms of pop and rock. The band takes fans back to the "pop that used to rock" with sounds reminiscent of the '60s British invasion. The group of seven is passionate with a do-it-yourself attitude, writing, directing and animating all of their own videos. Inspired by the '80s "Take On Me" video by Norwegian band a-ha, winning video "He Said, She Said," was created in an Oakland Apartment with zero budget.

Ostrich Head: BEST CREATIVE WORK

Winning Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGm-gwHwgcQ

Formed in 1997, Los Angeles based Ostrich Head creates their "neck breaking beats" by blending hip-hop with soulful harmonies as heard in winning video, "Freak Show Carnival." Staying true to the underground scene, the band relies on word of mouth for exposure that results in sold-out performances showcasing their natural ability to turn words into powerful melodies. Ostrich Head has toured across the U.S. & Europe and performed with artists such as Kool Keith, Old Dirty ####, Aceyalone, Lyrics Born, Dub Cat, Awol One, 2Mex, The Alkoholics, Jimmy Cliff, Sir Mix-a-lot and Digital Underground, to name a few.

Pawnshop Roses: BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE

Winning Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Gx6CGvDj74

Philadelphia-based Pawnshop Rose began when Paul Keen gave up football for a new found passion in music. Self taught guitarist, Keen was later joined by Kevin Bently and Justin Monteleone who both play bass and guitar, and Rich Fogg on the drums. Meshing modern music with the classic rock of the '60s and '70s, enables Pawnshop Rose to create music of today with a hint of yesterday which is evident in their winning video "Gets So Hard." The name "Pawnshop Rose" signifies the old, the new and the unexpected as the band continues to chart its own course, without any boundaries.

Once known as Kid Frost, Frost became a regular on the car show circuit in the mid 1980's. When he released "La Raza" and his debut album, "Hispanic Causing Panic" a few years later, his visibility exploded and helped the Lowrider culture thrive in Southern California and eventually Worldwide. With Frost’s known association with the Lowrider culture, having a show car to take to his performances at Lowrider events was the obvious next step, and going to Chop at King of Cars was an easy decision.

About King of Cars

King of Cars takes viewers on a thrill ride into the crazy, cutthroat world of car sales. Set in the Las Vegas area, this series takes an inside look at one of the nation's most successful car dealerships. The mastermind behind this thriving business is "Chop." A charismatic figure in a suit and shades, Chop manages his auto empire in his own fast-talking, quick-thinking, outlandish style. And there are no limits to what he and his team will do to stay on top. To drive sales, Chop produces and stars in a weekly infomercial called The Chopper Show. This expert of the big sell pulls out all of the stops to move cars off his lot. He makes outrageous offers, telling his audience that "It’s time to do some chopping." He performs skits with his salesmen who dress in crazy costumes. Nothing is too off-beat or unusual for Chop’s show — there’s even a dancing blue genie. And it’s impossible to guess what other attention-getting antics Chop and his team will dream up to drum up business. Beyond the fences of his car dealership, Chop is a man of many talents. Not only is he the ultimate car salesman, he’s a rap impresario and father. Watch as this real-life series explores the different facets of this one-of-kind Vegas original.

Avenida Acceso is a new approach to commercial music in the multi-cultural market with a fresh and exciting musical vibe from their Latin/Urban talent roster. It has been created to offer advertising agencies, television networks, and film producers a wide array of musicality from around the world that both blends and bonds many cultures and diverse musical styles.

Martin Pazzani, CEO of EliasArts Holdings says, "Avenida Acceso has been created because Latin media is one of the fastest growing and most exciting segments in the business, and there is a building demand for commercial music that reflects the diversity and blending of styles in today's Latino/Urban music. We have been fortunate enough to recruit some serious talent to this company on day one to deliver that creativity and diversity at a very high standard."

Grammy nominated artist/producer/film composer, Andres Levin (band-leader of the critically praised Latin-Fusion group Yerba Buena), will be the Creative Director and lead composer for Avenida Acceso. Levin has worked with EliasArts as a Featured Artist for the last year, and the birth of Avenida Acceso is an extension of the multi-cultural reputation he has established for himself in the Latin and Urban Music Communities.

Heralded as "the master chef of urban fusion" (Los Angeles Times), "a musicologist's dream" (New York Times) and "a multi-culti world unto himself ... a brilliant producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist" (Chicago Tribune), Levin has produced and collaborated critically acclaimed tracks for Tina Turner, Macy Gray, Paulina Rubio, Miguel Bose, Aterciopelados and Orishas just to name a few. Levin's distinctive musical sound has now been embraced by the world Film & TV as well, with music already featured in shows such as ER, Entourage, & Third Watch, and film scores completed this year for "El Cantante" (the Jennifer Lopez/Marc Anthony biography of Latin Music legend Hector Lavoe) and the upcoming Lions Gate true crime thriller "Borderland".

"My collaboration with EliasArts has felt natural and extremely positive from the start" adds Levin, "and it is time to create a much needed specialty company to provide authentic and innovative Latin/Urban and multi-cultural music for advertising, television and film professionals."

Management of Avenida Acceso includes Analia Garcia, who is Account Director/Sales & Production and Janie Reyes, who is VP, General Manager, Operations. Garcia joins from music house Sacred Noise where she was in Marketing/Sales, and Reyes joins from Bally Total Fitness, one of the country's largest Latino advertisers, where she was head of advertising production. Also joining Avenida Acceso is composer Jose Espinosa from Los Angeles. Espinosa has collaborated and played on many stages with various artists all over the world. Member of the Grammy-winning Latin, Hip-Hop group, Ozomatli, Espinosa is known for his wide musical range from Afro-Latin to the Urban music circuit. VH1 Rock Docs Rolls Out Five New Music-Based Documentaries

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- VH1 will expand its documentary series "VH1 Rock Docs" to include five new high-end feature-length programs. Each of the documentaries will reveal an untold story in the history of rock and hip- hop music, combining never-before-seen footage with a unique and unconventional narrative approach. The documentaries will tell some of the most unique stories of artists and music from a wide range of genres, styles, and musical perspectives.

"The Rock Docs franchise continues to grow and as long as there remain stories out there to tell, we will find a way to bring that story to life on- air and into the homes of our viewers," said Michael Hirschorn, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production, VH1.

The Return of Courtney Love

After drug addiction and 18 months of rehab, one of the most controversial and complicated women in modern pop culture is captured on her first ever documentary. Courtney Love is getting her life back on track as she records her new album, hustles to get work as an actress and rebuilds relationships with her friends. Writing and recording her new album has afforded Love the chance to look back at her tumultuous life, including her relationships, drug addiction, and the tragic death of husband Kurt Cobain. Filmed in her California home, at the studio and featuring unseen home movie footage of Cobain, this documentary tells the life story of Courtney Love with searing honesty.

1977 (tentative title)

Executive Produced by Nanette Burstein ("The Kid Stays in the Picture"), 1977 is a two-part, two-hour documentary that tells the story of one astonishing year in New York City. It was a time when the city had fallen into decay, with too few jobs, money, police, schools, or social services. There was a city wide black out with major looting, a serial killer on the loose, and the Bronx was burning.

And yet out of the chaos emerged one of the most creative times any city has ever encountered. Featuring interviews with major figures from the era, the documentary weaves together the stories of the emergence of hip hop, punk and disco, graffiti art, and sexual liberation. By the end of '77 all of this artistic expression was on its way to mainstream America, and would be with us for generations to come.

A.K.A. Tommy Chong

In 2003, Tommy Chong, the bandana-clad half of stoner comedy duo Cheech & Chong, was arrested in a raid on his family business and charged with selling bongs over the internet. This was a result of Attorney General John Ashcroft authorizing a $12 million drug paraphernalia sting operation, "Operation Pipe Dreams." Chong, then 65, was singled out among 55 defendants and was sentenced to nine months in federal prison. He was the only one with no prior convictions to serve time. Filmmaker Josh Gilbert captures Chong in candid moments before and during his incarceration, and then as the comedian turns his absurd arrest-by-SWAT team into hilarious stand-up material. Chong emerges as an activist and de-facto symbol of governmental priorities gone awry and the film that results is a surreal Cheech & Chong fantasy come frighteningly to life. Official Selection, Toronto Film Festival, 2005. Winner, Best Documentary, US Comedy Arts Festival, 2006.

Air Guitar Nation

Every August, the Air Guitar World Championships bring thousands of fans all the way to Oulu, Finland to see the world's best air guitarists battle it out for 60 seconds of mock stardom. For years, the USA was missing in action. Enter the first official US Air Guitar Championships. This feature-length documentary chronicles the year that Air Guitar swept America and follows one person's journey to become world champion. What starts as a friendly contest above a New York strip club becomes a battle of naked ambition played out on the national and, ultimately, world stage. Full of triumph and disappointment -- and of course invisible guitars -- this fake competition quickly turns very real. "Air Guitar Nation" captures the explosion of competitive air guitar through the eyes of former world champions, fans and media, and through the personal rivalries of those trying to attain the title of the best Air Guitarist in the world.

Sex: The Revolution! (tentative title)

The sexual revolution of the sixties and seventies was a time in our history that challenged century's old notions about sex and also a time that promoted unprecedented sexual honesty and expression. The four-part, four- hour series, "Sex: The Revolution!" produced by Perry Films ("And You Don't Stop," "The Drug Years") in association with VH1, features rare footage, classic clips, iconic music, and interviews with a broad and eclectic range of people. The series begins with the groundbreaking sexual research of Alfred Kinsey and takes the viewer through key moments in America's sexual history including Marilyn Monroe, Splendor in the Grass, Bettie Page, Citizens for Decent Literature, Sex and the Single Girl, the Pill, Sex, Drugs & Rock and Roll, Make Love Not War, swinging, Midnight Cowboy, Burn the Bra, Stonewall, Deep Throat, Forty Second Street, the Continental Baths, Roe v. Wade, Hustler, Caligula, phone sex, herpes, AIDS, the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, Angels In America, Bob Dole and Viagra -- and oh, so much more!

Speakerheart Offers Independent Artists Control Over Their Music

FRANKLIN, TN -- (Market Wire - Nov 29, 2006) --  Speakerheart(TM), a division of PassAlong Networks(TM), today announced plans to unveil a new service that will enable independent artists to promote and sell their music online. Speakerheart, which will launch in early 2007, allows artists to create custom stores online and promote their music on social networking sites. Artists can easily manage their online presence across the entire web through this unified service.

"Speakerheart is truly revolutionary considering the amount of control it offers independent artists and bands," said Jozef Nuyens, Speakerheart chairman and co-founder of PassAlong Networks. "Independent musicians now have the ability to manage and market themselves internationally. For the first time ever, these artists have a legitimate opportunity to break into the industry on their own terms."

"The increase in digital music sales over the past few years coupled with the rise in popularity of independent artists, bands and songwriters has created an incredible market opportunity for a service like Speakerheart," said Ben Bajarin, analyst at Creative Strategies.

Speakerheart features an intuitive self-uploading toolset, which allows artists to upload their own music, create customized track samples and ringtones, set their own prices and sell it all side-by-side in custom storefronts. Additionally, artists may access sales reports in real time and receive monthly payments for their sales through the simplicity and security of PayPal.

"Indie artists can always benefit from the empowerment that Speakerheart provides," said Josh Doyle, former lead singer of the Dum Dums and current indie artist. "I wish this type of service was available when I started out."

Interested artists, bands, managers and labels can visit Speakerheart.com to take advantage of a limited time offer to reserve a free year of service and receive notification when the site launches in early 2007.

About Speakerheart

WHO IS E.B.B. & F.L.O.W.?

ebb /eb/ - n. movement of the tide out to sea, recede.

flow /flo/- v. 1.) glide along as a stream. 2.) circulate. 3.) flow smoothly or steadily.

The hip-hop duo E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. characterizes the revitalization of early hip-hop elements during a time when many have said hip-hop is dying. As artists E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. have been able to remain commercially relevant while being musically innovative, a fact that sets them apart from any other group in the industry today.

E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. started from humble beginnings in a small production studio in Boston, MA where a burgeoning producers and a hungry emcee came together to essentially create one record. After the record (Good Times) was complete, the streets responded with a cry for more, and it quickly became evident that there was something special in the making.

From that point, E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. had one goal in mind - to make Every Beat Bang and finish each song with the Fresh(est) Lyrics On Wax using the examples set by hip-hop superstars like Reflection Eternal (Hi-Tek and Talib Kweli), DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, and The Kidz Down the Hall.

The name E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. was chosen not only for the powerful acronym it represents but also to characterize their work ethic and drive.  Hip hop in its essence is full or hard kicks drums, snapping snares, educated lyrics, political topics, witty musings, and mesmerizing melodies, and E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. music captures all of these things, as they smoothly and steadily move fans back into the golden era of hip-hop music.

E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. is comprised of producer DeMo (Jin, Special Teamz, M. Diesel, and Wordsmith), a Boston, MA native whose production style is refreshingly authentic, innovative, and versatile. DeMo stands on the frontline of the music revolution for years to come.

To the right of DeMo, stands the prolific emcee Inf. (PyInfamous of The Threat).  Born and raised in the state of Mississippi, Inf combines Southern soul with unparalleled lyricism that gives the listener a memorable ride every time an E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. track is played. Inf was the official MC for the truth campaign (www.thetruth.com) on the 2006 And1 Mix Tape Tour where he wowed crowds of spectators across the country with his freestyles and his ability to command the masses with a microphone. You can hear Inf’s trademark voice and sophisticated flow on numerous mix tapes across the nation.

All signs are pointed in a positive direction for this young duo. The group has garnered substantial attention ranging from invitations to the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon and How Can I Be Down Conference to rocking smaller stages in Mississippi and Boston, MA. With more shows being booked each day and with air play over many college and pirate radio stations around the world, E.B.B. & F.L.O.W. are definitely on their way to a spot in hip-hop few artists have experienced.

ARTIST PACO BRINGS URBAN LATINO CULTURE TO THE WORLD IN BOX OFFICE SMASH HIT "HAPPY FEET"

Paco Helps Robin Williams Create a Loveable Latino Penguin That Steals Everyone's Heart

Los Angeles, CA (November 27, 2006) For two weeks in a row, the animated film "Happy Feet" has dominated the box office with its irresistible penguin characters and catchy dance and song numbers.  Urban Latino recording artist Paco plays an integral part in the success of the film, his verse in the song "Boogie Wonderland" defines the character Ramon, played by Robin Williams.  Paco co-wrote this verse with John Powell and also worked directly with Mr. Williams to coach the famous actor in how to rap in Spanish and accurately represent urban Latinos in his character.

“It was amazing working with Mr. Williams,” comments Paco about the time he spent with the actor in the animation studios on Skywalker Ranch where the film was produced.  “He is definitely the most intense and focused professional I have ever had the honor to work with.”  And judging by the box office results, Paco helped Robin Williams cultivate one of this season’s most loveable and endearing characters.  The film brought in an astounding $37.9 million in box office sales this past holiday weekend and the film has now totaled $100.1 million in sales, beating even the new James Bond flick that was released the same weekend.

It seems that everyone loves Ramon and audiences just can’t get enough of the loveable Latino penguin.  On being part of such a huge project, Paco said, “It’s really exciting to be part of a film that represents urban Latinos and our music to mainstream audiences and the rest of the world.  I feel like I help put our music in everyone’s head.”  With the whole world being exposed to urban Latino culture in “Happy Feet,” the musical movement dominated by reggaeton and Latin hip hop has reached a new plateau.  Alongside the likes of Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Ivy Queen, Pitbull, and many other prolific urban Latino artists, Paco is definitely an important figure in raising the urban Latino musical movement to the next level.

Paco, a multi-talented artist from Costa Rica, is releasing his critically acclaimed album, Urbano, Latinoamericano, independently.  The album features songs from a broad spectrum within the genre of urban Latino music, including reggaeton, hip hop and alternative themes.  His album is available for purchase on CD Baby at www.cdbaby.com/cd/pacosounds or for download on iTunes.  To listen to his original music, go to www.pacoonline.com or www.myspace.com/pacoonline.
