Detroit, MI (PRWEB) August 18, 2006 — Mosaicthump, in association with Philosophie Music & Broadband Promos, is proud to present a record release party for internationally known producer Nicolay, musical architect of the classic Hip-Hop Duo Foreign Exchange.
Nicolay is world renowned for his ability to use classic soul and hip-hop in a phenomenal and cohesive mix that can only be called genius. As one half of the now classic Foreign Exchange, he was instrumental in taking the hip-hop world by storm and upping the ante for every producer in the business. The resulting CD from that historic union with Phonte, “Connected,” will definitely go down as one of the must have CDs of our generation.
Nicolay has worked with the kings and queens of underground soul and hip-hop, such as Alice Smith, Kenn Starr, 6th Sense, Roy Ayers, Cesar Comanche, Little Brother, Darien Brockington, Black Spade, Yazarah, and Sy Smith just to name a few. His newest effort entitled “Here” will most certainly solidify his position in the industry, while providing insight to this master’s diverse repertoire. Not leaving his friends behind, you can expect some surprising guest appearances on this CD as well as some long awaited reunions with favorites from his previous work.
Mosaicthump has sought out to bring the very best that Detroit has to offer for this party, securing Slum Village’s DJ Dez. Our special guest Dez is known to rock a crowd like no other, there is no way he would let Nicolay visit without showing him how Detroit represents. One stage, one night, this will be an unparalleled event that fans will talk about for years to come.
Mosaicthump exists as an online publication seeking to expose everyone to the important artists of underground soul and hip-hop. While Mosaicthump is primarily focused on writing concise CD reviews of the brightest and best that soul has to offer, we remain committed to delivering in-depth interviews, music news and local event information.
