Music Video Conglomerate VH1 Soul Embraces Ladybug Mecca,
Adding her Latest Video to Their Rotation
New York, NY (Wednesday, May 31, 2006): Stomping mud-holes in the path towards originality, and openly expressing individuality, last year Ladybug Mecca independently released her debut solo album Trip the Light Fantastic. Fantastic is a progressive urban alternative Hip Hop/Soul project that crosses boundaries and displays a colorful journey into Ladybugs personal experiences. In accordance, Mecca simultaneously released two singles/videos -You Never Get Over it and Dogg Starr. Out of the gate, both videos were serviced nationally to video shows, receiving 26 adds combined the first week out. As momentum continues to mount, popular cable music channels Fuse on Demand and MTV On Demand jumped on board; and most recently music video conglomerate VH1 SOUL added the lead single You Never Get Over It? into there rotation. The 12inch single will be released for world wide distribution in June through OM Records. Meccas catchy single Dogg Starr, produced by Ayatollah (Ms Fat Booty-Mos Def) and remixed by Masters at Work legendary co-founder Kenny Dope, earned its way onto the latest Cornerstone Marketing compilation. You can catch Ladybug along with Digable Planets at The Sonar Festival in Barcelona Spain on June 17th, two nights in a row at Neumo’s in Seattle July 20th and 21st. They will also be playing the Arts Alive Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa September 2nd and Festival Del Mar in Del Mar California September 24th.
