Album 8WM/Novakane to be Released Summer 2006
May 2006 – New York, NY- Launching the release of their new album, 8WM/Novakane, scheduled for release in Summer 2006, Black Sheep will perform alongside fellow hip-hop legends Naughty by Nature for a special performance with special guests UMC’s on Wednesday, May 17 @ B.B. Kings, 237 W. 42nd Street at 8:00 PM. Tickets are currently on sale at the B.B. Kings box office for $22.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door.
Black Sheep’s notable singles “The Choice Is Yours” & “Flavor of the Month” have been nightclub & radio staples since the release of the duo’s first album “A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.” Since the group’s departure from Mercury Records both Dres and Mr. Lawnge have worked both separately and collectively, thus sparking the release of 8WM/Novakane. Featuring producers Lord Finesse, Bean One and Kwame, the singles “Who Dat” and “Be Careful” have received critical acclaim from DJs around the country.
