PHILADELPHIA, PA — (Market Wire – Apr 20, 2006) – RMD Entertainment Group (OTC: RMDG) announced today that they would be partnering with The Source Magazine to produce two Houston parties to kick off the “Texas Beach Festival” weekend. The “Texas Beach Festival” (a.k.a Kappa Beach Party) is one of the largest spring break events in the world, which takes place in Galveston every year in April.
In honor of Houston’s recent climb to the top of the hip-hop kingdom, executives from The Source, RMD, Beaty Four, and BMXX have decided to create for the southern faithful two unforgettable and distinctly different parties this week in Houston. The Source CEO Jeremy Miller and Down Magazine Co-owner and Vice President “Big Hawk” will be working alongside RMD CEO Giorgio Costonis to deliver two unforgettable evenings.
The first event is categorized more as a VIP event for the artists, executives, and the media. Key southern hip-hop figures such as Mike Jones, Swisha House, and Trae will be there to celebrate the recent “Don’t Mess With Texas” issue of The Source and prepare for the big weekend. Doors at Club Dreams (Houston) open Thursday the 20th at 9:00 pm and while not open to the general public, many lucky fans will be admitted. RMD artists Roc Monee and Big Kuntree are expected to perform at this event.
The second party is the official kickoff event on Friday the 21st and not only includes everything from the first night but it will also be broadcast live on Houston’s KBXX “The Box.” Doors at Houston’s Coco Loco open at 9:00 pm and along with the artists and executives, the public will be welcomed in to launch what is expected to be the best “Texas Beach Festival” to date.
RMD CEO Giorgio Costonis commented, “It is an honor it is to be involved with this group of professionals across the board. Jeremy Miller has reinvented The Source Magazine and that is remarkable. Having the opportunity to collaborate on a project like this with The Source team confirms that we are where we need to be… at the top. This weekend is for the best of the best and RMD is proud to be such an integral part of the process.”
