Carnival of the Capitalists for March 13, 2006

I’m this week’s host for the Carnival of the Capitalists, a weekly gathering of business related blog posts that adds up to over 50 briefly noted entries in this week’s edition.  Next week’s Carnival of the Capitalists will appear at Casey Software.  If you’re interesting in participating in future Carnivals, see the entry form for multiple carnivals.

This was kind of an odd week at Hip Hop Press.

Typically I write about the wide range of business activities involving hip hop, from label signings to fashion lines to marketing.  This week such topics were overshadowed by a conflict within the hip hop community that took precedence.  So I don’t actually have a post in this week’s Carnival!

However, in the spirit of the Carnival, let me direct you to an interview I did with a rapper named Tahir on the topic of Hood Economics back in the early days of Hip Hop Press.

This week’s Carnival of the Capitalists is organized into the following topics:

Posts That Caught My Eye

Entrepreneurship

Marketing and Sales
Blogs

Investing

Personal Finance and Planning

Taxes

Consumer Issues

Doing The Right Thing

Guidance and Advice

Time Management

Economics and International Trade

Informed Perspectives

I’m sure a better taxonomy was possible but I’ve already been on this gig for hours!  Enjoy.
